Dominic “Nico” Romano is an attorney at DGIM Law, where he focuses his practice on estate planning, succession, and corporate and real estate transactions. With over two decades of experience at the intersection of law, business, and real estate, Nico is recognized for his clarity, foresight, and solutions-oriented approach. He advises clients across a wide range of matters — from structuring wills and trusts to negotiating complex real estate and corporate deals — helping individuals and business owners alike preserve assets and plan for the future.
Nico’s dual background as both a seasoned attorney and commercial real estate advisor allows him to bring a strategic business mindset to each client engagement. He has negotiated and closed transactions across multifamily, retail, and hospitality sectors, and is particularly experienced in aligning legal strategies with market dynamics. In addition to advising on business formation, contract negotiation, and landlord-tenant matters, he regularly guides clients through estate and succession planning to ensure long-term security and generational wealth transfer.
Prior to joining DGIM Law, Nico served as a Partner at Spiritus Law, where he led the firm’s real estate practice. Previously, he was a Senior Attorney at Shutts & Bowen LLP. He has also managed his own practice, handling litigation and transactional work, and served as Deputy Vice President of a national beverage company, overseeing financial operations and regulatory strategy. Earlier in his career, Nico advised hospitality clients on regulatory compliance and alcohol beverage licensing, an experience that continues to inform his approach to complex, multi-stakeholder transactions.
He is admitted to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia and is a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate. Outside of his legal practice, Nico has served on several municipal boards for the City of Lighthouse Point, including the Code Enforcement Board, Community Appearance Board, and, currently, the Planning and Zoning Board. He is fluent in French, Italian, and Spanish.
Nico earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and a minor in Economics from the University of Florida.
